Hi all!
It’s been 2 days since Dippy’s surgery and he seems to be coping well. At the vets recommendation, he is living in a puppy crate to stop him from moving too much. Most of the day is spent sleeping and eating, but he is keen to start doing more and is longing to be ‘normal’again.
Two questions:
How much is he able to do for the first few days? He came out for about 20 minutes earlier for a house and cuddle, and also a little walk around the living room but I don’t want him to do so much that he injures himself or puts strain on his surgery area
Secondly, does anyone have any tips on how to entertain him without him moving around too much? He loves his cuddles and brushes, but does seem to get a bit bored being cooped up most of the day.
Thank you for all of your help!

Confinement is indeed key to a speedy recovery. What he is able to do, and what he’ll think he can do are two completely different things! The latter can cause setbacks if he overdoes it, so just take things one day at a time.
